Custom type can mean a single character or a complex type family with more than ten members. It can also mean an adjustment to an excisting typeface or a design from scratch. CakeType has produced typefaces for KPN and road signage in South Korea, amongst others, as well as the lettering for the KWF Kankerbestrijding logo and Bookedoo logos. In 2005 graphic design studio Teldesign designed the logo and corporate identity for Menzis, one of the largest income protection insurers in The Netherlands. For the logo of Menzis and Confior a lowercase alphabet was designed.
